" Ugo Lo Pinto photographs the prodigious, the impossible installation, the phantasmagoria of the imagination. An intensely cinematic apparition—reminiscent of Bergman’s poetics and of those scenes in which the knight plays chess with Death—yet imbued with an archaic lyricism, rooted in the symmetry and arrangement of figures typical of Athenian pediments and Alexandrian sarcophagi. Poised between Surrealism and Hellenism, Lo Pinto’s imagery reaches some of the most sublime heights of contemporary artistic expression. ".  -  Corrado Radini Tedeschi
